The Pittsburgh Penguins are back in the Burgh to battle the Edmonton Oilers. Two of the best players in the National Hockey League (NHL) will faceoff. Sidney Crosby vs Connor McDavid.
Tonight's game will be a perfect chance for the Penguins to bounce back after suffering a 7-1 loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Florida. This loss finally made the Penguins make some moves with Antti Niemi. He was placed on waivers and was claimed today by the Florida Panthers, which works out perfectly for the Penguins. Now, Casey Desmith who was called up from Wilkes Barre/Scranton will backup Matt Murray in net. He has been doing very well in the American Hockey League (AHL) and should prove to be a valuable addition to the lineup.
On another note, the Penguins have added Riley Sheahan to the lineup. He was picked up from the Detriot Red Wings in exchange for Scott Wilson and a 2018 third-round draft pick. Sheahan will make his Penguins debut tonight.
For now, the Penguins will have to put their focus on the Oilers and get things back on track. To achieve this they have to stay out of the penalty box, play smart, and make sure to keep their eye on McDavid. Lets Go Pens!
The Pens lineup is as follows:
