The Penguins are back in Pittsburgh to play the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Penguins have been dealt to new blows after the Boston Bruins game Saturday. The only news on Orpik is that he has been placed on IR and with a concussion injury. Also Neal has been suspended for five games for the knee hit he dealt to Marchand during the game Saturday night. The Penguins have recalled a defenseman Brian Dumoulin from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. A piece of good news is that Evgeni Malkin will be returing to the Penguins lineup. There is still no news on Thornton's hearing, which should be happening in the next couple days and hopefully the punishment is tough. The Penguins need to focus their attention on tonight's game and get a win against the Blue Jackets. Lets Go Pens!

1:35- The Blue Jackets empty their net!
4:49- The Pens have a successful PK and Kobasew is released from his prison.
6:49- The Blue Jackets will finally get a PP chance as Kobasew is called for tripping.
8:50- Despres and MacKenzie are released from the box and we are back to full strength at both ends of the ice.
10:50- We will have some 4 on 4 hockey! Despres and MacKenzie take a seat in the box for roughing. Bortuzzo gets a misconduct penalty (10 minutes) and Dubinsky is sent to the locker room with a misconduct and a game misconduct.
11:08- SID SCORES!! Maatta starts the play up ice and outlets to Duper driving down the wing. He puts the puck on net with Sid and Foligno driving hard to net. It goes of Sid's knee and into the net! 2-0 Pens
14:01- The Pens are still showing life and getting chances in the offensive zone, but Blue Jackets are not letting up either.
16:55- Sill and Tropp drop the gloves! Sill gets in some good right ones and takes Tropp down!
19:04- Sid lays a saucer pass right on Kuni's stick as he is entering the Blue Jackets zone. His backhanded shot it saved by the pad of McElhinney, but gives up a huge rebound. White sweaters are around to clear the puck.
20:00- Time for the Pens to find a new level and put the Blue Jackets away! Third period time! Lets Go Pens!
2nd Period
0:00- The second period ends and the Pens have the lead 1-0 over the Blue Jackets!
2:09- Sid makes a great defensive play to clear the puck up ice to Duper. He rushes into the Blue Jackets zone and Sid comes down to help. They get a chance on net, but the Blue Jackets are able to clear.
4:54- Sid does an amazing job of back checking and keeping the puck in the Blue Jackets zone! Such a hard working player.
8:22- Geno passes across to Megna and he goes down to one knee, but doesn't get all of the puck on his shot as the pad is safely directed away by McElhinney.
11:47- The Blue Jackets survive another Pens PP though both Sid and Kuni had a wide open net chance, but someone the puck stays out of the net.
13:47- The Pens will now bring out their PP as Savard is sent to the sin bin for tripping.
15:44- GENO SCORES! Jokinen makes a cross ice pass to Geno, who is entering the offensive zone with speed! He puts on the after burners and blows pass the Fedor Tyutin and McElhinney's poke check fails! The Pens get the first goal! 1-0 Pens
16:45- The Blue Jackets are still getting great offensive zone time and the Pens haven't been able to solve that just yet.
18:31- Sid gets two great chances on net! His first shot goes wide of the net and then a chance on McElhinney's doorstep!

3:58- Kuni finds Sid trailing into the Blue Jackets zone! His slap shot screams wide of the net!
4:42- The Pens are having trouble exiting their own zone and setting up time in the Blue Jackets zone. However we are still scoreless.
7:26- Geno picks up the puck at the Blue Jackets blue line and stick handles around four players to get a backward pass to Jokinen. His shot looks to direct wide either by McElhinney or a player!
8:18- Tanger fires a hard shot from the point, but McElhinney makes the pad save.
9:27- The fourth line for the Pens gets some chances in the Blue Jackets zone. Their shots are either saved by McElhinney or blocked! Best offensive zone time the Pens have had all period.
10:52- Geno gets physical on the Blue Jackets and tries to create a chance up ice.
13:00- The Blue Jackets have been dominating in the Pens zone for the majority of the first period. Sid gets a chance up ice, but backhands one wide of McElhinney.
16:44- The Pens haven't had the puck much to start this game. The Blue Jackets are taking it to the Pens and Flower has had to make some early saves.
