The Penguins have rested and are ready to get back to work, starting with the Philadelphia Flyers! The Penguins host the Flyers tonight at Consol Energy Center for rivalry night. The Penguins are looking to rebound from a two game losing streak and get their game back on track. During this game, the Penguins have to work hard and keep their game tight if they want to get the win. It's going to be a rough and physical game for the Penguins.

3rd Period
0:00- The Pens fall to the Flyers 2-1! The Pens need to re-evaluate and pick it up since this makes it 3 losses in a row.
1:30- The Pens empty their net. Geno is the extra man.
4:25- Orpik sneaks into the slot area and Geno lets out a pass from behind the net. Orpik fires a shot wide of the net, barely!
5:45- Sid fires a shot from the side of the net, but it goes high and wide. Then the Pens crash the net, but Emery is there to stop them.
8:52- Geno makes a few moves and lets go of a rocket shot, but Emery makes a lightning quick save!
11:14- The Flyers kill off the Pens PP. The Pens had some amazing chances, but everyone was missing the net on that one.
13:14- The Pens are getting another PP as Sid is hauled down by Couturier and draws a penalty.
17:30- Duper gets a partial breakaway and snaps one on net. Emery makes the save and covers the rebound.
20:00- Time for the third period! The Pens need to build off the chances they have been getting and keep working hard! Time to hunker down and get the win! Lets Go Pens!
2nd Period
0:00- Second period ends! The Pens crash the net and Sid almost puts one in before the horn sounds. Flyers have the lead 2-1.
1:20- B.SCHENN SCORES ON THE PP! The shot from the point comes through and Flower makes the save. Schenn picks up the rebound first and puts the puck into the open net. 2-1 Flyers
2:29- The Pens kill off the Flyers 5 on 3 PP and now have to kill off a regular Flyers PP for 1:39.
2:50- Duper is headed to the box for slashing. Hartnell and Bortuzzo get off-setting penalties. Flyers get a 5 on 3 for 21 seconds.
4:29- The Flyers will get their first PP as Engo is called for hooking.
4:46- Sid gets the puck behind the Flyers defense and is off to the races. He tries to go five hole on Emery, but Emery shuts the door. Wasn't a full breakaway or that would of been in the back of the net.
5:01- Couturier and Geno exchange words and shoves in the corner of the offensive zone.
7:14- The Pens PP ends. Tanger had two amazing shots at the side of the net, but puts the puck over the net!
9:14- Streit is called for high-sticking and the Pens will get his third PP of the game.
11:31- SID SCORES ON THE PP! Geno wins the puck off the side-boards and snaps a pass to the front of the net. Sid stays in front of the net and redirects the puck pass the blocker of Emery! 1-1 tie game!
13:09- The Pens are getting the second PP of the game as Rosehill takes a seat for interference.
14:07- Flower makes a pad save on Lecavalier on a slap shot!
16:40- The Flyers are getting good match-ups against the Pens. Craig Berube is doing work getting the match-ups he wants especially when the Pens have the last change.
20:00- Second period is underway! The Pens need to clean up in the defensive zone and put some pucks behind Emery (ones that will count)! Lets Go Pens!

4:08- Glass with three block shots! Unbelievable shift by Glass.
5:20- Read with a wrist shot from boards and Flower flashes the glove for a faceoff.
8:57- The PP for the Pens comes to an end. Wasn't a very good PP for the Pens as the Flyers kept the Pens from entering the offensive zone and setting things up.
10:57- The Pens will get the first PP of the game as B.Schenn heads to the box for goalie interference.
12:43- Jokinen makes a backhanded pass to Adams, located in the slot area. He snaps a quick one towards the net, but Emery was there to gobble up the puck.
15:15- Flower makes a blocker save and directs the rebound to the corner.
17:28- Sid feeds the puck out to Bortuzzo at the blue line. He lets go of a hard shot that rings the post! Kuni goes after the rebound, but it's swiped away from him at the last moment.
19:41- Kuni scores off a rebound shot from Sid. Sid comes flying into the zone and goes right by Coburn. The goal is recalled for Kuni displaying a "distinct kicking motion." We are still scoreless, but great way to start the game!
20:00- The puck has dropped at center ice and this game is on! The Pens need to come out strong and play a full 60 minutes! Lets Go Pens!
