The
Pens roast Oven Chicken and the rest of the Caps as they get a 5-2 victory in the Consol Energy Center. The Caps came out the first period and got the scoring started as the
Pens looked lack luster. That all changed in the second period as the
Pens scored five...count them...five goals and didn't look back. The Caps were able to get one in during the third period during a PP chance. However the
Pens were just too much for the Caps to handle.
Reese made his debut as a
Penguin and did a good job on defense for his first game with the
Pens. The
Pens extended their winning streak to five games with their win over the Caps. Great overall effort by the
Pens and
Flower delivered in the goal tending department, coming up big for the
Pens.
