Third Period
0:00- PENS WIN!!!!! Pens with a 5-3 win over the Bruins! Sid had a three point night and Neal scored number 40 with a league leading 18th power play goal.
0:29- Chara takes a seat for tripping on Duper and the Pens get a late PP.
1:00- Bruins empty net.
2:47- Johnny makes another great save on a chance by Seguin.
4:47- Johnny with great save on Chara and Z picks up the rebound to clear it from the blue paint. Vitale is hit in the side of the head with a puck from a shot from Chara. He goes to the locker room.
6:24- Neal with a great chance on the doorstep of Turco. Turco able to glove up the puck.
7:38- Pens with a great PK effort. Little stuff going on after the whistle, but Bruins PP ends with the score still 5-3 Pens
9:39- Sid heads to the sin bin for a delay of game penalty, flipping the puck over the glass. Bruins with the PP chance.
11:56- BRUINS PEVERLEY SCORES. Bruins with 2 on 1 chance and Peverley is all alone puts it in the net. 5-3 Pens
13:35- Boychuck goes into hit Asham and they have a weird knee on knee collision. Boychuck goes down and is in pain. Helped off the ice and to the locker room.
13:45- ASHAM SCORES! Adams takes a shot from the boards and Asham redirects the shot with his stick while falling, into the net. 5-2 Pens
15:55- Johnny with great pad save on a point blank shot, coming up big for Pens. Bruins coming on strong.
18:36- Bruins Seguin with a breakaway chance off a lead pass and the shot goes high of the net.
19:09- Johnny coming up big with three huge saves. Scary moments.
20:00- Third period time. Time for the Pens to tie up this game and keep up the good work.
Second Period
0:00- Second period ends and the Pens are leading the Bruins 4-2 thanks to two late PP goals from Sid and Neal.
1:01- SID SCORES!! Sid sneaks in behind Bruins and receives great pass from Tanger. Sid slams it into the open net putting the Pens up 4-2.
1:33- Neal and Ference drops the gloves behind the Bruins net. Neal with a few good licks in. Nice job by Neal.
1:49- NEAL SCORES! Great passing on the PP leads to Neal with the wicked wrist shot sailing into the net top shelf on Turco. 3-2 Pens. Pens still have a normal PP to work with.
2:31- Peverley high sticks Tanger and heads to the box. Pens with 5 on 3 PP.
2:39- Paille goes to the box after nailing Niskanen with a violent hit. Pens get a PP.
4:28- Sid with a great play and puts the puck at the goal mouth. Duper with wide open net swings at the puck, but misses it. Sullivan picks up and Turco with save.
5:20- Sid with a great backhanded shot as he is falling down, just goes wide.
9:34- Not much going on. Some back and forth hockey. Nothing too exciting.
13:22- Johnny makes another huge pad save. Keeping this game tied at 2-2
16:23- Duper with great chance in front of the net after Sid throw the puck to the goal. Turco pokes the puck away just in the nick of time.
18:53- Bruins with a 2 man breakaway and Johnny comes up with a huge glove save.
19:42- BRUINS LUCIC SCORES. Tanger with a turnover and Krejci picks up the puck drawing two Pens players. He passes to Lucic, who is wide open and he puts it in the empty net. 2-2 tie
20:00- Time for the second period. Lets Go Pens!
First Period
0:00- First period ends. The Pens lead the Bruins 2-1 with goals from Sid and Martin. Pens will have full PP to work with in the second period.
0:01- Pens will get a PP.
3:03- BRUINS POULIOT SCORES. Sullivan gets hit with the puck and is hurting so he goes to the bench. Pouliot left open and backhands one over the shoulder of Johnny. Bruins cut the Pens lead in half 2-1.
4:09- Orpik with a turnover in the corner and Bruins with chance. Johnny with a blocker save.
5:03- MARTIN SCORES! Martin charges to the net and the puck bounces off his arm area and goes over the goal line. Turco covered, but it had already crossed the line. It was reviewed and ruled a good goal. 2-0 Pens Tanger with assist.
6:31- Niskanen with a hard shot from the blue line is saved by Bruins Turco. Johnny with his own save at the other end of the ice.
8:50- Bruins Seguin with breakaway chance and Johnny with a huge save, came out to challenge on the play.
10:30- Neal and Lucic back on the ice.
12:19- SID SCORES! Duper finds the puck at the side of the net and passes to a wide open Sid. Sid rifles one right in the top corner of the net. Assist where Duper and Tanger. Duper now has 15 game point streak. 1-0 Pens
12:35- Neal and Lucic go to the box for roughing. Some 4 on 4 hockey.
13:46- Adams with a nice blocked shot. Pens spending a little to much time in their own zone and sloppy to start the first.
14:46- Johnson with great pad save though traffic in front of the net.
17:29- Pens PP ends. Some good looks, but nothing great.
19:32- Krejci to the box for delay of game and the Pens get a PP.
20:00- Puck drops and here we go! Pens are at the Bruins! Lets Go Pens!
