Another Hockey Night In Pittsburgh!!!

Tonight the Pens will take on the Blues at 7pm! Sid of course will be playing and Flower will be in the net tonight! The other players will be game time decisions!

Winning return

The Pens beat the Islanders 5-0! Sid didn't waste anytime getting back to his game! On his second shift out, at 5:24, he blew pass the defense and whipped a backhander top shelf on Nilsson. The captain was back and he didn't stop there. He made a great pass to Brooskie who scored on a wicked blue liner shot. Then on the power play Sid got an assist on Geno's goal! The only goal Sid didn't not contribute to was Sullivan's goal! Geno made a great pass across ice to Sullivan who whipped one pass Nilsson. To finish up the scoring, Sid put the spin-o-rama on a defense men and slipped a wicked backhander pass Nilsson on a bad angle shot. Not only was Sid having an amazing game, Flower had a great game also. He made many amazing saves and earned a shutout. Everyone on the Pens team seemed to have lifted their game and did an amazing job!

Finally, after almost a year of waiting and wondering SID is coming back. He will be in tonight's game as the Pens take on the Islanders at 7pm at the Consol Energy Center. Not only is Sid returning to the lineup, buy so is Z! We might actually have a full healthy lineup, except that Benny is still out with an injury! Picard will sit tonight and I won't know till game time who the starches will be. Flower will be in the net tonight and Sid will be reunited with Duper and Kuni! I have been waiting a long time for Sid to come back (with the rest of Pens Nation) and I have never been so excited for a Pens hockey game (with exception to the Stanley Cup Final). I have the feeling Sid is going to come back and might make a big statement! Tune in on Versus to find out, LETS GO PENS!

Pens are in Tampa Bay!

The Pens are in Tampa Bay to take on the Lightning tonight at 7:30pm! The Pens also made the trip with their fathers. Sid won't be playing in this game and Flower will be in the net! I will be in at the game tonight, so sorry if my tweets aren't up to my usual standard. I will be pretty wrapped up in the game, have second row tickets. So I will make sure to tweet pictures for all two see and post warm-up photos on this page after the game. Can't wait!

Pens Dominate!

The Pens dominated the Avalanche in a 6-3 yesterday! In the beginning of the game it was a different story, the Avalanche were the ones dominating. They scored three goals in the first and kept the Pens pinned in their own zone. Staalsy started the scoring for the Pens in the second period and continued scoring. Duper, Brooksie, Geno, Neal, and Tanger all racked up goals. Geno's goal was just plain amazing. He stick handled his way to the front of the net, right pass all the defenders and held on to the puck long enough to get the goalie to go one way and he went another way. Flower held down the fort with not allowing any goals after the first period. The Pens got to their game and finish with a win to bring to their Florida trip.  The three stars were: 1. Neal 2. Geno 3. Tanger

Pittsburgh Hockey Night!

Tonight the Pens will take on the Avalanche at 7:30pm in the Consol Energy Center on Versus. Sullivan and TK will be game time decision, but both participated in the morning skate. Sullivan went out last game after the second period and didn't return, he was said to have a lower-body injury. Jeffery was recalled from his assignment in Wilkes-Barre Scranton. Flower will be in the net. After this game, the team will travel to Florida to take on the Lightning and Panthers. Lets get a win and bring that energy to Florida.

In Carolina

Tonight the Pens will take on the Hurricanes in Carolina @ 7pm. Johnny will be in the net tonight. The game will be on ROOT Sports. Canes are on a bit of a losing streak, so the Pens look to take advantage of this and get a win!

Friday Night Hockey in Pittsburgh!

I don't know about you, but I have been missing some Pens hockey! I have been able to catch up on my college work, but I just need hockey to look forward to. A week without Pens hockey has been hard, but I have been watching some other games to help. Now it is Hockey Night in Pittsburgh once again. The Pens will take on the Stars tonight at 7:00pm in a Veteran's Day game. TK was a game-time decision, but will not play tonight. Tangradi will be playing tonight, as he was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. Flower will be in the net tonight. Also, the Pens will be honoring the Veteran's in tonight's game. Tonight's game will be televised on ROOT Sports and the NHL Network. Make sure to follow me on Facebook and Twitter for live game updates.

Pens edge out Kings in Shootout!

The Pens beat the Kings 3-2 in a shootout last night! The Pens were the first to strike as Sullivan scored, his first in a Pens uniform, putting the Pens ahead 1-0. That didn't last as the Kings scored twice with one coming in the first, to tie the game, and one in the second period. With about three minutes left to go in the game, Kuni scored to tie the game! The game ended up going to a shootout. The Pens and Kings were able to score once in the first round of the shootout (Tanger scored). Kuni won the game with a shootout goal in the next round of shooters. Flower was amazing in the net and it was really a battle of the goalies. Both were great, but the Pens came out on top and ended their road trip with a win. The Pens will now have plenty of time to recoup and get some team building done as they don't play till Friday.

Another Late Night

The Pens will take on the Kings at 10:30pm tonight! Benny is out with a broken wrist and Staalsy and Martin will be game time decisions. I will be giving live updates throughout the game on Facebook and Twitter. I would follow me on Twitter, the updates are more detailed.

Just not enough!

The Pens lost to the Sharks 4-3 in a shootout last night! The Pens came out strong in the first period with Engo and Geno each netting one to put the Pens up 2-0! The Sharks were flat in the first period, but started to amp things up in the second period. They scored about two minutes into the second game, but Geno answered with a goal. The puck hit his skate and was redirected into the net putting the Pens back up by two. This didn't last long, the Sharks scored two to tie the game in the third period. Regular time and overtime were not enough, this game would be determined by a shootout. Flower was amazing in the net, but one got pass him. The Pens didn't score (Tanger, Geno, and Duper). Thus the Sharks came out with the win. It was a hard fought game, but the Pens let their lead slip away and starting looking flat after the second period.

Game Day!

Tonight the Pens will be taking on the Sharks in San Jose at 10:30pm. This is the second game of a three game road trip for the Pens. Blysma said, that Staalsy and Tanger will be game time decisions and that Alexandre Picard has been recalled for the AHL. Johnny is ill and Flower is in the net, I think Johnny will still be the back up, but not play (like when Flower was ill). On another note, TK has started practicing again, but can have no contact. Sid is progressing well and has traveled with the team to get some practices in. Lets hope that Staalsy and Tanger will be able to play, the Pens can't afford to lose any more players. Pens need to get another win.

November Mustache Boy

Jeffery can now shave off his upper lip hair! The new mustache boy for the Pens is Vitale! He has tried out a mustache before, but now he must grow one for the whole month of November. To funny!
